Leading Saskatchewan RCMP, Assistant Commissioner Blackmore oversaw almost 1,600 employees, including over 1,100 sworn officers at more than 80 detachments.
Assistant Commissioner Blackmore is a vocal advocate for health and wellness. Prior to and since being named the RCMP's first National Fitness Champion in August 2024, she has driven initiatives that promote physical health and education. Everyday, Assistant Commissioner Blackmore fosters a supportive environment where employees can feel empowered to pursue their fitness goals and stay healthy on the job.
A/Comm. Rhonda Blackmore was removed by RCMP National HQ from her role as Commanding Officer of Saskatchewan on June 3, 2025 (due to anonymous complaints made about her). This was done in the midst of a wildfire crisis in the Province and just before their busiest call volume season. A/Comm. Rhonda Blackmore has proven over and over her ability to lead the Province through major crisis.
